SUCCESS

I, along with a number of experts, spoke on a panel about racially-charged sentiments being broadcast in media, and many of the incidents against newcomers in Canada, and what these sentiments and events mean for BC – how local communities can heal from racism and what immigrants have to offer to our province.

The panel of experts included:
Dr. Gurdeep Parhar, executive associate dean, clinical partnerships and professionalism, faculty of medicine, University of British Columbia
Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, Reconciliation Canada ambassador
Senator Yuen Pau Woo
Christine Brodie, education consultant
Judith Bosire, consultant, MNP LLP
Sarah Al-Qaysi, program assistant, SUCCESS
