Parliamentary Associations
Senator Woo represents the Parliament of Canada at home and abroad by participating in activities organized by Parliamentary Associations. The Parliament of Canada's international parliamentary relations are carried out in part through formal parliamentary associations that operate on multilateral and bilateral levels to promote Canada's interests. These associations provide a forum for Senators and Members of Parliament to actively participate in the exchange of ideas, information and experiences with their fellow legislators at an international level.
Senator Woo is an executive committee member of the Canadian Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CCOM), a vice-chair of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group (CEUS), a member of the Canada-China Legislative Association (CACN), and a member of the Canada-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Group (CAJP).

Senator Yuen Pau Woo is a Member of the Executive Committee of the CPA and has participated in a number of the Association's activities, including:
- Speaking before newly elected Bermudian MPs, Senator Woo detailed strategies for an effective parliamentary committee system during a post-election seminar organized by the CPA Secretariat.
- Senator Woo delivered remarks in the presence of other CCOM delegates during a panel entitled: "Combatting Rapid Urbanisation and Rural Decline: A challenge for the Commonwealth".
- The Hon. Yuen Pau Woo, Senator, attended the meeting of the International Executive Committee (EXCO) Coordinating Committee of the CPA in London, United Kingdom, on behalf of the Canadian Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association from January 18 to 19, 2020.
- Senator Woo attended the 2019 Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference as a member of the Executive Committee and Interim President of CPA 2020.
Senator Yuen Pau Woo is a Member of the Canada-China Legislative Association and has participated in a number of the Association's activities, including:
- Meeting with Ambassador Lu Shaye in May 2019 and CACN members had the opportunity to discuss the status of the Canada–China relationship.
Senator Yuen Pau Woo is a Vice-Chair of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group and has participated in a number of the Association's activities, including:
- Mar 19, 2021 Senator Woo, along with some Colleagues in the Senate and House of Commons who are Members of CEUS, held a series of talks with its Congressional counterparts to discuss the current state of cross-border trade, travel restrictions, energy infrastructure, and to learn about the new administration’s foreign policy vision.
- Senator Woo, along with some Colleagues in the Senate and House of Commons who are Members of CEUS, took part in the Pacific Northwest Economic Region 28th Annual Summit in Spokane, Washington from July 22 to 26, 2018.
Senator Yuen Pau Woo is a Member of the Canada-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Group and has participated in a number of the Association's activities, including:
- Senator Woo, along with some Colleagues in the Senate and House of Commons who are Members of CAJP, discussed a range of issues with their counterparts from the National Diet’s Japan-Canada Friendship League, including the impact of COVID19 on parliaments, the environment, and trade.
